Mark is a Christian who is not afraid of a non-Christian world. He loves people and they love him. Without being fanatical with his message, Mark sees a need and addresses it. He has a mission to grow Christians and as a communicator believes, "You give people your heart; they will give you theirs." He transparently communicates the benefits of a deep relationship with God and people listen and follow.

Mark has always dreamed of building a true New Testament Church. In the Spring of 2005, that dream became a reality, and Riverpark Church was born. A church, that Mark says, is "in the Bible, but out of the box" The Briggs family, Mark, his wife Laquita and their three children, is a dedicated team who serve faithfully in a variety of capacities at Riverpark Church in Shreveport, Louisiana. Laquita Briggs is the wife of Senior Pastor Mark Briggs of Riverpark Church, located in Shreveport LA. In addition to joining Mark on stage for special weekend announcements and promotions, she helps direct many of the care giving aspects of Riverpark Church. She is a vital part of the worship team and directs the worship choir. When she is called on to teach, everyone listens because they know what she says will bring results. Laquita communicates God’s Word with warmth and grace, inspiring others to pursue a more intimate relationship with Jesus. Her passion is to see her family and other families embrace the principles of a God centered life. Laquitais a graduate of Bible College and has done post-graduate studies at a local college. She loves fitness, tennis and spending time with Mark and their three children.
